Thank you for representing Hospitality Research Organisation as a Researcher or Judge.
Below are the fee rates payable this season for the Scottish Hotel Awards & Guide scheme.
As we are an egalitarian lot, the same rates apply to everyone!
FULL NEW OVERNIGHT HOTEL RESEARCH & REVIEW WRITE-UP VISIT
This is when you visit a hotel, stay overnight D, B & B, meet the owner / manager and then complete the Review Form with a full new original review. Photographs also may be required and general liaison with the hotel needed, including Confirmation E-mail being sent. (Generally this is only for a new Member as for Update Visits a full review is not required.)

OVERNIGHT UPDATE RESEARCH or JUDGING VISIT
This is when you visit a hotel, stay overnight D, B & B, meet the owner / manager and then send an Update E-mail to Gary. Photographs also may be required and general liaison with the hotel needed, including Confirmation E-mail being sent.

DAYTIME CALL RESEARCH or JUDGING VISIT
This is when you visit a hotel to ‘catch up’ with things, usually by having a chat with the owner / manager. This may be to update the information we haveabout the hotel, or to go over / plan things in connection with the awards. This would also be the rate for a full interview with an awards candidate (ie. a chef).

TRAVEL / EXPENSES
HRO will be pleased to refund your travel / expenses this way:
- Train or bus receipt attached to your monthly invoice, refunded in full
- Reasonable petrol / diesel receipt attached to your monthly invoice, refunded in full (not a per-mile rate)
- Receipts for any other directly-related costs (ie. coffee at a meeting)
INVOICE & REFUNDS
Please send your Invoice made out to Hospitality Research Limited and remember to attach the receipts. Please post – must be addressed to Denis as below – to reach us by the end of the month. Payment will be at the end of the following month:
